These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all services provided by Restored Shipping 900 (“the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By tendering any shipment or using our services, the customer (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to be legally bound by these Terms.
Restored Shipping 900 provides courier, freight forwarding, logistics, customs facilitation, warehousing, and related services. These Terms constitute a binding agreement governing all transactions between the Company and the Client.
Shipment: Any package, parcel, freight, cargo, or goods tendered to the Company.
Consignor / Sender: The individual or entity shipping the goods.
Consignee / Receiver: The intended recipient of the Shipment.
Declared Value: The value declared by the Client for liability or insurance purposes.
Prohibited Goods: Items prohibited under Jamaican law, international law, or these Terms.
Restricted Goods: Items requiring permits, licenses, or approvals.
Force Majeure: Events beyond the Company’s reasonable control.
Services may include, but are not limited to:
Domestic and international shipping
Air freight and sea freight forwarding
Ground transportation and local delivery
Customs clearance facilitation (Jamaica Customs Agency – JCA)
Warehousing and storage
Pickup and delivery services
Cargo consolidation and deconsolidation
Packaging and repackaging
Tracking and logistics support
Special handling (fragile, temperature-controlled, dangerous goods where permitted)
All services are subject to availability, carrier rules, and regulatory approval.
The Client agrees to:
Provide true, accurate, and complete shipment information.
Declare contents and values honestly.
Ensure goods comply with Jamaican Customs laws, including the Customs Act.
Properly package items to withstand normal handling.
Pay all applicable freight charges, duties, taxes (GCT, SCT where applicable), processing fees, and penalties.
Provide invoices, permits, licenses, or identification upon request.
Failure to comply may result in delays, seizure, forfeiture, fines, or abandonment.
The following items are strictly prohibited unless legally authorized:
Illegal drugs or controlled substances
Firearms, ammunition, explosives, weapons
Flammable or hazardous materials
Counterfeit or pirated goods
Pornographic or obscene material
Currency, bearer instruments, or precious metals
Human or animal remains
Live animals (unless pre-approved and specialized)
Any item prohibited by Jamaican or international law
Restricted items may require permits from relevant Jamaican authorities. The Client bears full responsibility.
The Client is responsible for:
Adequate, secure, and weather-resistant packaging
Internal protection against movement or breakage
Proper labeling of fragile or sensitive goods
The Company reserves the right to refuse improperly packaged Shipments.
The Company may open, inspect, X-ray, or verify Shipments without prior notice:
To comply with security or customs regulations
To verify declarations
To ensure safety and legal compliance
All international Shipments are subject to Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA) inspection.
Duties and taxes are calculated using CIF (Cost + Insurance + Freight).
Customs delays, inspections, seizures, or penalties are outside Company control.
Incorrect documentation may result in additional charges or return of goods.
The Company acts only as a facilitator, not the assessing authority.
Freight charges (actual or dimensional weight)
Fuel surcharges
Customs brokerage and processing fees
Storage and warehousing fees
Redelivery or return charges
Insurance fees
All charges must be paid before release or delivery, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Accepted currencies: JMD and USD.
Non-payment may result in shipment hold, return, abandonment, or disposal.
The Company is not an insurer.
Standard liability is limited to the lesser of the declared value or JMD $50,000, unless additional insurance is purchased.
Undeclared Shipments are covered under minimal basic liability only.
Consequential damages (loss of profit, emotional distress) are excluded.
The Company is not liable for:
Inadequate packaging
Prohibited or restricted items
Customs seizure or confiscation
Force majeure events
Delivery times are estimates only, not guarantees.
Failed delivery attempts may incur re-delivery or return fees.
Signature confirmation may be required.
Address changes must be communicated immediately.
Refused Shipments may be returned at the Client’s expense and subject to storage fees.
The Company is not responsible for delays caused by:
Weather or natural disasters
Customs inspections
Mechanical or carrier issues
Incorrect addresses or documentation
Labor disputes, riots, or war
Claims must:
Be submitted within 7 days of delivery
Include supporting documentation and photos
Be limited to declared or standard liability
Tracking is provided as a convenience only.
Updates may be delayed or incomplete.
Real-time accuracy is not guaranteed.
Storage fees apply after any grace period.
Shipments unclaimed after 30 days may be deemed abandoned.
Perishables may be disposed of immediately if spoiled.
The Company may refuse or terminate service if:
The Shipment poses safety risks
Documentation is incomplete
Fraud, abuse, or misrepresentation occurs
These Terms are violated
The Company may:
Request identification or proof of purchase
Hold Shipments under investigation
Report suspicious activity to authorities
Cancellations are permitted before processing only.
Redirects may incur fees and are not always possible.
Returns are subject to return freight, duties, and taxes.
We collect only necessary data, including:
Contact and billing information
Shipment and tracking details
Data is used for service delivery, compliance, and support.
We do not sell customer data.
The Company shall not be liable for:
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss of income or profit
Delay-related losses
Government or Customs actions
Force majeure events
Liability is strictly limited as stated in Section 10.
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Restored Shipping 900 from claims arising from:
Prohibited or illegal goods
Misrepresentation of contents or value
Regulatory violations
Improper packaging
No liability shall arise for failure or delay caused by:
Natural disasters
Fires or explosions
War or terrorism
Government actions
Labor disputes
IT system failures beyond control
Complaints must first be submitted to Customer Service.
Unresolved disputes may proceed to arbitration or court.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica.
The Company may amend these Terms at any time.
Continued use of services constitutes acceptance.
If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain enforceable.
